Meet Kate Long, the new Research Services Archivist

Please join us in welcoming Kate Long, the new Research Services Archivist. Kate supports students, faculty, staff, and visiting researchers as they explore the Libraries’ Special Collections, including the Sophia Smith Collection of Women’s History, the College Archives, and Mortimer Rare Book Collection. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment for all curious minds to use the collections and inform research, artistic endeavors, and personal interests.

Before coming to Smith, Kate worked at the Folger Shakespeare Library and the University of Maryland. Outside of work, she loves to learn all she can about historical food traditions through reading, cooking, and of course, eating.
