How are our lives and futures impacted by constant surveillance? What are some of the risks of losing our privacy? Is there an alternative to our current digital world order?
Join Smith College Libraries and Sarah Lamdan, executive director of the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom and author of Data Cartels: The Companies That Control and Monopolize Our Information, as we discuss how to work towards a society where personal digital privacy is protected, and what such a society might look like.
This event is funded by the Five College Libraries Professional Development Fund.
