Here for Every Voice: Generation to Generation

Access has been central to Smith’s mission since our founding. Today, it is the college’s top priority. That’s why Smith launched the Here for Every Voice initiative to ensure that every qualified student from every walk of life can experience a Smith education.

Together, from generation to generation, Smithies are supporting the right to an excellent liberal arts education and the power it holds. Please join the hundreds of alums who are making a difference. Together, you are changing young lives. Together, you are transforming the world.

Take advantage of gift matching and collective giving to increase your impact.

Peris Mwangi ’23

Peris is focused on changing the world for women, particularly women of color. “I am a self that is always becoming,” says the Nairobi native, the first in her family to go to college, and the very model of the change she wants other women to be able to experience.

“Financial aid creates a ripple effect as Smithies have been, and continue to be, at the forefront of the social, economic and political change that we all want to see in the world.”

“To be a truly excellent institution, we need outstanding students bringing their rich perspectives from all corners of society. We know that knowledge and wisdom grow in diverse settings. Scholarships light the path to Smith for so many remarkable, high-achieving students. Access matters.”
