Becca Banach

Becca oversees the technical infrastructure of the Libraries’ discovery layer, working to evaluate and enhance services while emphasizing accessibility and overall user experience. She works with other departments to resolve technical issues and optimize the discovery of and access to the Libraries’ collections for students, faculty, and staff. Becca serves as chair of the Libraries Discovery Team and participates in the Five College Discovery Committee. In addition to her responsibilities around the discovery layer and FOLIO, she provides system and technical guidance for additional systems including the institutional repository, preservation systems, and digital repository. Her role is central to the efficient and effective delivery of library services to the Smith College community.
