Andy Kretschmar

As Resource Sharing Librarian, Andy is responsible for oversight of all interlibrary loan, stacks maintenance, deliveries, and materials movement for general collections between Smith Colleges Libraries and the Five College Library Annex.

Prior to working at Smith, Andy worked at the University of South Carolina for ten years where he held positions in access services, information literacy, reference, and special collections. Originally from Western Massachusetts, Andy is very happy to be back in the Pioneer Valley among the hills and the used bookstores. Outside of work, Andy can often be found climbing Mount Holyoke and Mount Tom, homebrewing, foraging in Raven Used Books, and scouring the corners of the internet for 1970s Guild guitars.
